ABOUT THE GAME
BACKGROUND
The Alps are mainly portrayed in a romanticised way these days and are the travel destination of many tourists. But years ago, the Alps were anything but a place to relax. Exposed to the relentless nature, living was hard and death was a constant companion. This stunning environment was a source of many tales and myths and characterised by superstition and piety for centuries.
A PERSONAL STORY
You take the role of Gottlieb Linder, a citizen of the mountain village Wengen. When his Wife suddenly dies of the plague and also his son becomes feverish, Gottlieb sets off in the depths of winter, to seek help in the vale. But not only he gets caught in a horrible blizzard but also has to realise, that he is not alone. All of a sudden, he finds himself in a merciless pursuit by a creature that he thought to be a myth.
OUR GOAL
Like many others, we too have a fascination with the alps. With Gottlieb we concentrate especially on the dark side of the alpine world and go back to a time which is barely comprehensible anymore. All in all, it is our goal to make this old world understandable and to show that the tragic side of the alps can be captivating too in its own way.
